More Remodeling

Here are just a few photos of the renovation to the second side of our office. We are nearing completion, and soon should be able to combine the two finished sections to have one shiny new office! We are so excited. Stay tuned for more updates, and for information about our Grand Re-Opening Celebration!

It's Time For Our Annual Christmas Sale!

Its moving time!

We are nearing the completion of Phase 1 of our office renovation. At the end of this week we will be moving our entire office into the completed side of the building so that we can start renovations on the side that we currently occupy.

Here is my best attempt at describing our recent working conditions:

Before when you came into our office, you walked in the front entrance and to the right was optical and to the left was the waiting area and check in for appointments. Our office has been set up this same way for years, so you can imagine the shock to patients when they walk in and it is completely different. To start the renovation project what we did was moved the entire office into the right side (where the optical side is located) and shut off the left side. We did this so that we could keep the office open while we renovate one side at a time. We started on the left side back in August and this week we will finish that side up. This weekend we will move all of our work stations and equipment over to the left side so that we can close off the right side and begin construction on it. We have been in cramped quarters the last few months, but it is all going to be worth it when we are finished with both sides and have a beautiful new office. As we move this weekend into the new side, it is still going to be a tight fit to have the entire office working out of one side, but we are super excited to be in the new side with spacious new exam rooms, new paint and carpet, and an entirely new, open front desk area!

JDRF Fundraising Was A Success!

We met our goal! We raised a total of 1,114.00 dollars to contribute to JDRF. The annual walk was this past Saturday October 23rd at Flour Field. We had a great walk team of employee's and family members. We enjoyed a beautiful Fall day as we strolled through downtown Greenville and Falls Park. There were thousands of other walkers that came out to support the cause. There are other corporate teams, as well as many teams who walk for a child they know that has Type 1 Diabetes.

Thanks to all our patients who made a donation, all of our employees who walked with our team, and a special thanks to our doctors who matched all of the patient donations.

Also, a special congradulations to our very own Mary Johnson for winning the gift card to Adam's Bistro. She contributed to JDRF by buying several tickets for the gift card drawing. She was our lucky winner!

We still need help!

We are rolling along in our quest to raise at least 1,000 dollars for JDRF. We are halfway to our goal! So far, we have raised about 550 dollars. The walk is a little over a week away, but we have confidence that we can do it! If you would like to contribute, you can come by our office and buy a sneaker, and we will match your contribution. You can also donate online at http://www.jdrf.org/. Just make sure you specify that you would like your contribution to count towards the Greenville EyeCare walk team. Together, we can find a cure for diabetes!

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

October 23rd is the day! We are walking again this year with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The foundation raises money for research to find a cure for Type I diabetes. Every year JDRF has a Fall Walk in downtown Greenville to raise support. 2010 will mark the fourth year that Greenville EyeCare has participated in the walk. This year we are selling the JDRF paper sneakers and our office will match each donation...sneaker for sneaker! We are also raffling off a gift card to Adam's Bistro on Pelham Rd. Buy a ticket to win for $1.

Renovation Sensation is Underway!!!!

We began the remodeling process on August 16th. Progress is well underway. We are now operating out of only half of the office while the other half is undergoing contruction. Below are a few pictures of the progress.
